The National Eating Disorders Week takes place every year during the last week of February. This year the Women's Center at Simon's Rock had a couple activities planed as well as a project in order to raise awareness on this issue. Wai Phu '06 and Michelle Gonzalez '08 are in charge of the Women's Center's actives and weekly meetings.
For the first time since 1985, Simon's Rock is taking a comprehensive look at the General Education requirements, the requirements for an A.A., and considering changes to the curriculum. Any changes implemented would take affect for the entering class of 2011.

This year's conference explored the issues and advancements of women in the sciences.
On January 13, Haiti was hit by a devastating 7.0 earthquake, the largest earthquake in that region in over 200 years. This earthquake left 230,000 people dead, a toll that has steadily risen from the original estimate of only 100,000. On top of the countless lives that have been lost, there are also thousands of people who were left without medical supplies, food or fresh water.
